The Market is opening on May 19 and we need all hands on deck! This year at the Market will be very different from past seasons and in order to keep our market as safe as possible, we need your help. We are looking for 9 volunteers each week. There are 3 shifts available for each market day (1:00-6:00 p.m., 3:00-6:00 p.m., 3:00-8:00 p.m.) and we need 3 volunteers for each shift. All volunteers must be at least 16 years old. The shifts and descriptions are as follows:

• Shift 1 (1:00-6:00 p.m.) — This shift will be responsible for helping with the Market setup. They will assist The Land Connection Staff in opening tents, setting up tables, unpacking supplies, and placing signage throughout the site. After set up, this group will assist the Market Manager with monitoring the market site and ensuring that the shopper safety guidelines are being practiced.
• Shift 2 (3:00-6:00 p.m.) — This shift will be responsible for assisting with curbside orders. They will collect orders from vendors, organize orders, distribute orders to shoppers, and complete payment transactions for curbside shoppers.
• Shift 3 (3:00-8:00 p.m.) — This shift will assist with the entrance and the Information Tent at the Market. They will help direct traffic, answer shoppers’ questions, complete SNAP transactions, monitor entrance lines, and hand out “shopper guidelines” flyers. At 6 these volunteers will assist The Land Connection staff in tearing down tents, packing supplies, and transporting equipment to our office.
