Volunteering with The Land Connection is an opportunity for you to help make a bigger impact in our local food system. We frequently need assistance with:
- Operating the Champaign Farmers Market – Are you interested in setting up or tearing down equipment? Would you like to connect with customers through surveys? The Champaign Farmers Market operates mid-May through October on Tuesdays from 3:30-6:30pm in downtown Champaign.
- Data Entry – We collect a variety of data from our stakeholders including surveys, evaluations, and feedback. We also track data for grants and our annual reports. If you have experience with using Microsoft Office and Google Drive, we would love your assistance.
- Organic Grain Conference – Each year in early February, we host the Organic Grain Conference in Champaign, Illinois. It takes many volunteers to ensure attendees have a wonderful experience. We need assistance with room monitors, video taping, check-in, exhibitors, and many other roles.
- Filing – Now and again, we get a bit behind on keeping our files in order. We would love someone who is detail-oriented and interested in keeping our paper trails organized.
Do you bring another skill or experience that you feel could be useful to The Land Connection? This is a very limited list of what happens in our organization on a daily basis, so please reach out and let us know how you can contribute.
